Year 4
The Autumn started off back in the Victorian age, with children learning about the life of children during Queen Victoria's reign.
In January, Year 4 earned about the life of the Greeks and Romans. They have learned about the tectonic plates causing volcanic eruptions - in particular Mount Vesuvius!
Our Roman Day - The children enjoyed looking at and handling a range of Roman weapons. They learned about different foods the Romans ate, including flamingo tongues! The children all made a Roman Bulla pendant which was given to children when they were born. The children re-enacted a Roman Soldier's burial and thought about what would be needed in the afterlife - including a slave of his choice.
